  1. It’s going to be cold for a few days on the backside of this. Whatever ice falls is going to melt slowly.
  2. I don’t mind banter during down time as long as it’s playful and isn’t melodrama.
  3. The snow that fell here never developed into good dendrites. I think our area if you looked at the DGZ was just outside of the best dynamics.
  4. On second look after seeing Newark Airport reporting 7.7 I can definitely see 8.3 being not too far off. Here in Astoria just on the other side of the East River we're somewhere in the 10 inch ballpark which makes me think the gradient across the metropolis makes sense when looking at the banding that set up.
  5. That's probably a good guess. Yeah pretty much all the cars have had the snow blown off of them except for one side. Kinda reminds me of rime ice build up on arctic trees.
  6. Get a measuring tape. Start at the bottom step and measure to the top. Trust me, it’s legit.
  7. Astoria Park, the winds are so strong off the East River there's no snow on the hill leading down to the water.
  8. https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/?parms=subregional-Mid_Atlantic-comp_radar-12-1-100-1&checked=map&colorbar=undefined https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/index.php?parms=OKX-N0Q-1-12-100-usa-rad https://weather.cod.edu/satrad/nexrad/?parms=DIX-N0Q-1-12-100-usa-rad
  9. I'm pretty sure Denali is located in the Catskills.
  10. Rockland County is basically the Midwest.
  11. The Park could have a foot and a half and they’d still manage to measure under a foot. I think both LGA and JFK will measure over 12 though.
  12. Down to 982 mb. Really getting the stretched look. Both the RAP and HRRR eventually consolidate back into the original surface low.
