  1. My weather station hit 100 degrees for the first time (installed May 2023).
  2. Currently 94.1 after a low of 77.9. Heat Index of 99.1
  3. 0.13 yesterday and a total of 0.14 for the month. Thank god for the Flood Watch!
  4. An underwhelming rainfall so far. Total: 0.12
  5. Currently 84.5 after a high of 92.6. Line broke up just before reaching Pasadena so no measurable rainfall. Last measurable rainfall was June 30th.
  6. It is actually pretty common on “nice” weather weekends. Patapsco, Cunningham Falls, North Point, Gunpowder, Sandy Point, and a few other Maryland State Parks that have swimming access (lakes, bay, ocean) regularly close early in the day because of reaching parking capacity.
  7. 85.1 with a heat index of 98.9 at 10 PM. Nasty day.

As someone who has taken 10s of thousands of photos of the Key Bridge, near the Bridge, and the Marine traffic on the Chesapeake Bay, it was hard to see the tragedy that occurred today and hard to believe that it is gone. My neighborhood became the viewing spot for the local and national media. There were at least 8 news crews at our community's waterfront access. Even a Canadian News camera man was setting up here too. The effects of what occurred today were change the region, Port of Baltimore, distribution, transportation, and jobs for decades. One of my favorite sunset photos of the Key Bridge from a few years ago.
