  1. And that correct. The radar is actually overstating the snow rates now in a big way.
  2. It did ramp down dramatically around here at that time... perhaps it was an unlucky coincidence, but haven't seen that effect before.
  3. It's a good explanation, but the ground truth says it's not an artifact. Visibility has gone up to over a mile here just west of Boston. It really has petered out already.
  4. Impressive that the NHC is sticking with such high formation probabilities on this with the Euro dismissing it and it looking like its a long way from getting its act together. I would take the under on 90% in five days for sure.
  5. Those Mount Washington obs have been formidable for quite while now... https://www.wrh.noaa.gov/mesowest/getobext.php?sid=Kmwn
  6. Guess the front was pushed off shore:
  7. The duration did seem mighty suspicious. Plus there was no such anomalous forcing...
  8. If that's accurate, those have to be historic obs even for that elevation.
  9. EPS are skewed to a whiff too (e.g., 0Z, 6Z....)
  10. There are some monster solutions among the members.
  11. Some eye candy from last night's runs.
  12. Snowing very nicely now in Cambridge, visibility under 1/2 mile.
  13. Are you sure? I have 16.5" depth in Cambridge (and I measured multiple places).
  14. Jerry, are you confusing small flakes with light rates? It's the same here in Cambridge, but the visibility is still low (fog like) and it's piling up. 10.5"
  15. How high did they get sustained in Nor'easter #1?
