Jay opening tram Saturday and going 100 percent open except for trails with currently active snowmaking. Earliest I've seen the tram run since 2018. That entire side of the mountain has been untouched. Too bad winds will probably kill it at some point Sunday, but tram laps in early December really speaks to what kind of start it's been this year.

That would probably save a lot of the pack and maybe even be a net gain above 2000' as modeled...You would toss?

Might have done a little better than up here. Looks like about 6" of paste at 1850'...Mountain is claiming 7-9 up high. Could score a bit more into today though as temps drop. Vermont better light it up the next three days on these optimal temps with the way next week looks.

What's the lag time when the mjo moves into those phases? My understanding is 8-1-2, the higher the amplitude, the better? So once we see it enter phase 8, is that a cold loading, or change in heights near Alaska? No way to sugar coat days 5-15 even in NNE. It looks like Torch Tigers wet dream. Maybe the resorts sneak a couple cheap snows, but looks pretty warm.

Snowy week incoming for NNE…while SNE is mild and ready for panic, it looks like steady as she goes up here as long as the long range cutter doesn’t verify. .

Stratton was outstanding for December 1st this morning. For them to get that many acres open already is impressive. Snow got manky after lunch, especially the couple naturals they had open, but the top half of the snowmaking blacks off the summit were awesome. Black bear and polar bear especially. Glad I picked Stratton over K-Mart. I think with sky peak still offline, it’s almost double the terrain. .

Didn't see the Mansfield Stake update yet after last night but I would have to guess we are above average now for the month of November? Certainly an above average base that is right side up as we head into a milder week. Nice early season set up right now.

November has been great in northern vermont. 15” Monday and another 6 plus last night. Huge trail count jumps coming for the weekend and 3 straight days of solid snow making temps. Almost everyone Hunter and north has been open. This November has been nothing like last year. .
