  1. Man, “decent” and “respectable” for wintery vibe is the best you can come up with, lol. It hadn’t rained in 2 +- months, no thaws, BN temps and number 6 out of the last 70 years in terms of snowfall with refreshes every 2-3 days. Total snowfall somewhere between 300-400” in the northern greens with more than half of March to go. I’d go with outstanding winter for northern Vermont. .
  2. Here’s the extra 8 feet…drifts burying the street lights. Please no more jay slant sticking talk. I wish they would just report, see pf’s report and add 10-20 percent, lol. .
  3. Cant stop, wont stop…dumping snow again… .
  4. I think they’ve been blowing the canyon to do late season. .
  5. Jay had a deal for first time skiers earlier this year...4 free lessons, 4 free rentals, free beginner day pass for the day of the lesson and a free season pass once you completed all the lessons. Goal was to get kids involved in the sport.
  6. Skiing in the northern greens is as good as it gets right now…
  7. Some of the best skiing you can imagine right now. Just day after day of incredible powder and packed powder. The snow consistency is perfect right now… .
  8. So friggin good right now…entire northeast is at the mountain tho.. .
  9. Just checked the Mansfield stake site to see how this winter compares and only 2018 saw more snow at the Mansfield stake as of this day since 1986...quite a run this winter with more on the way.
  10. Can’t use the pf garbage can trick if you can’t see it..getting deep again Should have the deck disappear after the next couple rounds… .
  11. It’s going to get fun in feb. Hang on for the Highs and lows of model watching. Going to be plenty of negativity when some of those don’t work, but looking back at the month as a whole on March 1st, I bet everyone gets in on something from nyc-nne. .
  12. Not even close...but back out the first 3 days of Jan, and it's a decent negative departure at a lot of sites, compared to some plus 5-8 over the last 15 years. It's def felt cold and windy for me both in Jay and in NJ. I'm sure the -6 in 2009 would have been fun.
  13. This cold seems to have the mountains way ahead of snow making schedule. I know Jay has pretty much finished every trail they would blow, and has started going for round 2 on a few. I would think the only hang up is for a trail like the jet that you want to go into may with, you would probably want to do the second round in late Feb, not late Jan. But should have some great depths heading into spring this year.
  14. Snowy week incoming…northern greens should clean up with the upslope machine back in action big time… .
  15. Actually, he’s in New Orleans right now reporting that 1899 was way better. .
  16. Head over to lake George and visit qq…only meh there with a historic warmth projected sometime in the next 384. .
  17. That’s some life or death stuff right there…those guys don’t get nearly the credit they deserve. .
  18. Lots of talk about how the cold is weak sauce…def not historic, but it doesn’t have to be to feel friggin cold…beautiful, but you have to want it out there on the mountain today… .
  19. Just about 5” total in NJ and down to flurries. Complete dry powder here above the first inch. Been a while since a moderate, cold, dry January snow. Not quite jay upslope, but surprisingly light. 22 degrees. Good luck up north; there’s some legit bands in there. .
  20. Only thing more you needed was to stop at omakase…their spicy tuna poke bowl is banging…fantastic pics. .
