Spent a week in Central Florida. Just got off the plane in Atlantic City and it's more disgusting here than it ever was there.
Currently a heat index of 108F.
Watching the madness from Florida. Insane rain amounts. Saw Mt Holly use PDS wording. Hopefully everyone's doing OK. Have had thunderstorms everyday here, but nothing that wild.
Maybe I just have a bad memory (totally possible), but I seem to remember thinking a 70F dew point was high. Now....I'm pretty sure the dew point almost lives above 70 in the summer. And a 78F dew point doesn't even seem unusual.
Couldn't find that in the last 20 years, at least in Philly, but 2015 wasn't too far off. I remember something like this as well, but it must have been another date.
The lowest maximum temperature ever recorded on this day in Philly was 56F way back in 1884. It's only 50F now. Looks like that record is going to fall.
