    I think sleet mixing in for the city up to I287 for the next several hours until around 2 or 3 am and rain for a lot of LI. Then everyone back to snow from west to east

    Agree also has been consistently pounding upstate when other models were surpressed. Still can’t believe a storm with confluence may dump 2 feet to Albany but nam and ukie caught onto this.

    Yes when its lighter it’s sleet when it gets heavier it mixes and flips to snow, not surprised but just saying there’s definitely a warm layer around the region.

    It’s sleeting imby in far southern westchesterr and a lot of reports of sleet in southern westchester

    Already a 7 degree difference between Woodlawn and the Rockaways, could mean big differences in totals across the city later on.

    Very tough forecast for LI. GFS/Euro basically all snow, NAM/RGEM major precip type issues.

    I’d go with nam for temps this close to a storm. Either way it’s heavy snow to start that’s step 1.
