  1. Hard I would think because we don’t get same ratios. Would need like 3 to 4 inches of qpf to get those amounts.
  2. Yea I’m surprised only around a foot up there but the mega band must have stolen some of the HV snow.
  3. Yes I’m well north of Central Park and sleet was predominant precip type from about 11-3 so while lack of qpf didn’t help the sleet also cut into totals a bit for many in the area.
  4. It definitely flipped to rain in most of LI and even parts of queens and Brooklyn overnight but it was pretty short lived
  5. A Binghamton to Albany jackpot will almost never be an all snow event at the coast. Lesson learned trust instincts not models, it’s a miracle due to the high in place the area saw barely any rain but the mid levels torched all the way to Southern Orange County.
  6. Still light snow out. Hard to tell but eyeballing maybe another 1 to 3 inches since went to bed around 3 am. Haven’t been out so it’ll be interesting to see what the combination of sleet and powdery snow looks like
  7. 28 degrees with what looks like a sleet/Zr mix now. visibility seems down so maybe snow mixing in again can’t even fully tell precip type
  8. Looks like maybe one more burst of heavy precip coming in from the south, we’ll see how far north it gets and what precip type it is
  9. Crazy that it made it that far NW. On the other hand parts of LI and The city are reporting snow, weird storm.
  10. Guess that puts things in perspective. Still a frustrating storm in some ways.
  11. Nam actually was underdone on the extent of the mid level warming. All other models did horrible with this storm.
  12. Mid level low mid level low really ruined this for the immediate tri state. Still a nice winter storm but could’ve been a lot more without sneaky warm layer
  13. I’m sure Orange, Putnam, Dutchess easily will pick up double digits. Possibly some spots south if there as well. It’s not over yet.
  14. I had a feeling the models showing sleet up to I80 in NJ but somehow keeping our area snow were off.
