  1. This is nothing like the last storm, nothing worse than being on the cold fringe of a sharp cutoff to your south. This will be several hours of fluffy powder, won't be a big storm but will be pretty on Friday.
  2. I think 1-3 inches is a good prediction but have to say there is potential for more. Models still seem sort of confused about this with some very strung out and disorganized and some more wound up near the coast. I would also say pay attention to what happens in Ohio because i've noticed almost all the models that end up decent for us get decent snow into southern Ohio.
  3. Given the latest trends might be looking at more of a 2-4 inch event which is still more snow then we've had since last February. Im disregarding nam and rgem for now on the more extreme ends respectively.
  4. Cant ask for a better track than that, if pattern was less progressive it could have been big or I guess on glass half empty side it could have been rain so take what we can get.
  5. To me this has always been a 3-6 inch event for the area, theres a lot of typical model noise going on.
  6. 18Z GFS east, 18Z RGEM west. 18Z NAM about the same as 12z with setup but very little snow. Models still don't have a good handle on this one.
  7. Right now its not really hammering anyone, models have made this really weak and strung out but wouldn't be surprised if they amp it back up a bit tomorrow.
  8. The models still a bit all over the place, 6z runs were NW, 12Z runs were SE. I think probability of at least 3 inches is pretty good right for immediate tri state area but probably have a better idea of jackpot zone by 0Z tonight or tomorrow.
  9. Agree with this totally, I actually think this a DC-SNJ jackpot 3 days out usually ends up very good for our area.
  10. Pretty solid agreement now on a 3-6 inch type event for most of the area. A small shift NW would help but this is a pretty good spot for a storm for us 3 days out.
  11. He definitely tends to forecast on the side of less snow all the time but more times than not he is right.
  12. It looks like the river towns in Westchester are getting ZR? That wasn't expected
  13. Mostly rain now, it seems to flip fast. Still got looks like close to an inch so it's a win.
  14. Ill keep you posted just below you but it's starting to mix now I think
  15. It's been a while I think since a rain/snow line set up over the city. Seems like a lot of the city struggling with precip type but Bronx is getting pounded
  16. Same, absolutely pounding and sticking to everything, did not expect this here.
  17. Is there a link to the radar that accurately depicts rain/snow line?
  18. Went from 38 and white rain to 33 and snow accumulating everywhere. Did not see this coming.
  19. Pouring white rain here, it's pretty in the sky but also frustrating lol
  20. Temps are pretty warm but agree the fact it's snowing in DC is usually promising for us so we'll see. Definitely an interesting nowcast.
