I agree with you, I think I84 is going to overperform. Precip is just racing. Hope it stays snow and doesn't flip to sleet quick up there.

This might be a stretch but this could dump 1-3 in parts of the 5 boroughs if the coastal front could hold off but thats a huge if, theres no real issues with upper levels for a few hours.

This airmass is so real as we are seeing down south. If only the precip had come in earlier or in like a wall it would've been different oh well......

The ground is so cold so even if it jumps above freezing the snow may accumulate a bit

Surprised how active this thread is for a storm that is not a winter event for most of us but I think we all in the same boat, we tracked for so long and want to see any flakes.

Hope its right for our area since it starts most of the city snow and North Bronx hangs onto snow for 2 hours.

Freezing line now looks like it's made it to southern Queens/Southern Brooklyn.

Longitude def matters more than latitude this time around, EWR colder than HPN right now.

Precip is racing but unfortunately doesn't look to be all that heavy when it comes in.

This isn't short term models, this is 5+ days out so I'd expect things to look vastly different run to run. The storm we are having today was actually rare where the models kind of all agreed at 6 days and stuck with the solution.

GFS has the Monday storm on the 24th again.

Temp up to 29 now. It will def be a race between precip and the freezing line.

I agree about mid levels maybe but low level cold is definitely stronger already than what the models have been showing.

Thank you for your posts as well. I am also in no means wishcasting here. I know this is a non event for NYC once that roaring southeast wind comes in but at this point we've tracked it so long im just hoping for some snow at the start.

It's snowing in Lexington Park MD which is well southeast of DC. I randomly looked at a location SE of DC. NAM is already off because it's snowing in Baltimore and it shows no precip there. I think this one is coming colder and faster.

True, temp has stopped going up and held steady at 24 here. We'll see I guess. I do see its 31 in Long Beach but for front end snow inch or so I'm talking places like Bronx and Upper Manhattan
