Yea the general consensus would be the precip will be confined to our east as the low gets closer.

Just under 0.5" here east end of Henrico. Heaviest snow I have seen all year, yet not accumulating at a fast rate. Looks pretty though.

18z GFS is a Richmond north and west storm. CHO to Fredricksburgh up into south eastern Maryland and DE.

:-p 12z runs were not kind to Richmond. Great for northern Va and western portions of Va though.

East end of Richmond did not fair too well. Only 1" of snow end and around the airport.

Flakes have started 10:30 Richmond. East side near airport.

Snowing nicely on south east side near Airport (Richmond). 1/2" as of 20 minutes ago or so.

Real concern it seems is how much will stick with an iffy surface temperature and overall thermal profile. Most mets and local areas not buying the high totals on models right now.

Does this bring up any concerns about communication issues with such a sudden search of usage? Not sure... not my expertise for sure.. If cell phoens were jammed that fast......literally after the event..

Yea that was pretty awesome. Shaking was the first thing to notice.. Also the the distinct rumbling noise as well. I think i might not been affected as much as other because I live near the Airport... first thought was a low flying airplane.. that produce similar affects.. but it last longer and the rumbling was also different..

I find it unnerving that I did not even panic.. :-/ And I never felt an earth quake before. I was laying in bed and things started to shake.. .and was like. O_O That was an earth quake...
