  1. Feel like a July morning out there. I see radar is down too. Typical for a thunderstorm day smh
  2. I haven't noticed hardly anything here. Maybe a hole or 2 but that's it. Either it's a bust or they're going to surprise me.
  3. Headed out to the garden to do some watering. I probably won't be as lucky as I was the past 2 years as far as rain goes this year. Looks like it's back to it's normal location along the PA border.
  4. Then back to low 60's for highs and 40's at night later in the week.
  5. Just had one hell of a gust roar through the woods. I'd estimate it was around 60 mph. Pretty wild out there.
  6. Going for my second shot of Moderna next Friday. 14 days after that I'm going down to OC to find a nice anti masker/vaxer croud and just hang out enjoying my antibodies to the spiked protein.
  7. 50-60 mph gust shouldn't cause widespread long duration power outages. 60 mph is right on the line though. Seems like that's the threshold in this area during the warm season for uprooting large trees. Already breezy out there.
  8. Wind, humidity and heat are our specialty. They never under perform.
  9. I think the forecast for sunny conditions today needs to be changed to cloudy conditions. Looks like thick clouds back to Ohio. I'm ok with not having a sunny 90 degree day anyway.
  10. Looked like it might be a nice day about an hour ago. Now back to chilly, damp, cloudy conditions. I guess I'll go get the jacket back on. 58 and dreary
  11. Ahhhh.. severe season in the Mid Atlantic lol
  12. I'm wondering if the first ones become easy food for hungry birds. Once the big numbers emerge they overwhelm hungry critters. That's part of their strategy for survival.
  13. Looks like a decent slug of moisture to the SW of DC. It's drifting NW and holding together for now. Might be a wet morning for the DC area and to the east.
  14. Perfect day for finishing up my firewood stacking and getting the yard cleaned up. Definitely a bit of a chill in the air. Looks like another night with the woodstove burning.
  15. I've had a problem being able to see lightning in my area my entire life. I've always lived near trees. I use to get in my car and drive to some spots I had. Life changed forever back in January when I bought a drone. This evening I took that thing 350' straight up and parked it in the sky. I sat there with a huge smile on my face watching lightning and the sunset. The rain shaft was amazing. I could see it coming at me as it was engulfing the landscape as it headed my way. This drone is life changing lol
  16. I heard that too. I did it. I drank lots of water before and all evening after. Not a single side effect. Woke up feeling great this morning. I had Moderna dose 1 yesterday.
  17. Oh for sure. Great for parents that don't want to smell up the house and neighborhood or chilling on the boat or the beach. Sun and alcohol don't mix. Some cannibus oil and some cold water to drink makes for a fun healthy day in the sun imo.
  18. Dosidos-22. It's one of the best MD has to offer imo.
  19. I don't drink but I did get home and enjoyed a nice hybrid strain of medical marijuana that packed a punch. Jabbed at 3pm. Chilling by 4:20. Process was smooth. Round 2 in a few weeks. Thank you science.
  20. Same! Jabbing appointment at 3pm! Can't wait to feel that needle in my arm full of covid fighting juice.
  21. 29 and windy. Feeling like January again.
  22. The black oaks and pin oak are in the red oak family. They're suffering too
  23. The red oak trees are dieing off as well. Too much rain and subtropical conditions are killing them in big numbers. It's really sad.
  24. Let me guess.. same place it's been the past 2 years lol.
  25. Just had some impressive wind gust in the past 15 minutes. I'd estimate 45 mph at least. Not much rain but that wind was pretty cool. I actually hear some more roaring in the distance. Wind isn't done yet.
