  1. The line kinda died out but flared back up right at my doorstep. Their was suddenly a big increase in lighting strikes and loud thunder. The lowlands are getting rocked.
  2. Upwelling from south winds can turn that heatwave into 60 degree chill fest overnight. The hottest summers sometimes have the coldest water temps. The bay is different. It gets hot.
  3. That depends on wind direction. Your best bet for seeing warm clear coastal waters is a NE wind. Models don't seem that impressed with big rain later. I did notice the HRRR seems to have juiced up a little bit.
  4. I had a decent soaker in my yard. It looks like .80 from the tropical remnants as the skirted just south of the lowlands. The sun is out and the sky is a dark blue. It actually feels pretty nice out.
  5. It's been a tropical rainforest here in the lowlands for the past several hours. Steady heavy rain.
  6. I have no clue what the weather is going to do this week. One model has crazy rain. The next has nothing. It's hard to schedule work when the forecast is so iffy.
  7. I know lol. I'm just stressing over a couple big projects my team and I are working on. I'm sure we'll flip hot dry in a week or two.
  8. The next 10 days sure did go downhill. I'm so ready for the drought to return. Steamy, cloudy and swampy with rain and storms every day. Ugh
  9. I was probably right behind you. It got wild when the whiteout of wind driven rain hit. It looked blue outside due to the extreme rainfall. It definitely gave me hurricane chase video vibes. The lightning was also wild.
  10. Wow! What an afternoon. I was working in Ellicott City. I was washing a large house. I got nailed with a storm around 1. I just kept washing. Then on my way home I got raked on 32 by NSA. Back here in low lowlands were getting waves of thunderstorms. It looks like a very stormy evening for the 95 corridor.
  11. Flash Flood Watch until 11? I'm confused lol. What's with the flood watches this season. Like i said earlier. Looks like most of us get a break today.
  12. Hopefully tonight we get some action. It looks like NAM brings in the action late evening. My area is getting swampy but the storms are fun lol
  13. Radar is a real sleeper. Looks like we get a break today.
  14. That storm in Southern PG is a loud little beast. It's perfect for a summer evening mood storm. My area is drenched so I'm not mad It's missing to the south.
  15. I'm going to start calling you Low Risk lol
  16. I'd call it summer lol. Heatwave is over and temps look normal for a while. I'm doing some last minute gardening before summer cranks back up.
  17. That time of year again. One area is swamped while a mile away there's a drought. I'm on the swamped side.
  18. The lowlands of AA County have been swamped this week. I had a classic, strobe light, nighttime thunderstorm last evening that dropped 1.90". I've had over 3" this week. No drought here. We're in the green now.
  19. The bay spit out another boundary that came across the lowlands and fired off some loud little pop-ups. It rained here for about 15 minutes. The sun was out the whole time. It was kinda cool. It's really steamy and tropical right now. Edit: Holy shit! I just look at the Dover radar. That is a crazy sea breeze front. Is it rain? It looks crazy on radar.
  20. I've been busy working and not paying attention. I look at my phone and see a flood watch and a severe thunderstorm watch. Then I looked at radar and short range models. I'm confused lol. I hear a lot of thunder from the PG County storm.
  21. I'm one of the lucky ones today. I had a nice storm. I received about .80" in about 20 minutes. The temp went from 99 to the low 70's in about 20 minutes also.
  22. It's hot as hell but the sky is nice and blue. At least we're not choking on wildfire smoke.
  23. It's amazing. The forest is quiet. I've got a few birds hanging out in the grassy shady area along the woods. The ground is probably cooler there. It's interesting how the animals handle extreme temperatures, both cold and hot. 97 here in the thick forest along the South River. It's probably 100 just above the trees. I'm sweating just sitting on my shady screen porch smoking a dooby.
  24. Same problem I get when doing paver restoration. I can't apply polly sand if a thunderstorm is possible. Errr.... My truck is reading 97 in Severna Park. Same as it was yesterday at this time.
