Nice tropical downpour came through my yard about 30 minutes ago. I see puddles and standing water. Wow!

I forget what it's like to have a rainy day where we get like 1.50". It's been since last fall if I remember correctly. All we get these days is a shower or sprinkles.

Anyone want to take a guess at how this El Nino will effect the Tug Hill region in upstate NY? That's where I'll be all winter. I'm sure it will be better then the lowlands lol

I know.. ugh. Trying to softwash a 40' tall house in the never ending 30 mph wind is always a real pain in the a$$. Ever since March 1 it's been cold and windy or hot and windy lol

My rain gauge broke and their hasn't been enough interesting weather to motivate me to order a new one. It looks pretty wet here this morning. I heard it pouring around 10 last evening.

Feels like a 3 year cycle. You're right though. Who knows what is coming.

Just patterns. From 2020 to 23 it was a swamp around here. It even killed off lots of trees due to excessive rainfall and wet soil. From 2023 until now it's been the opposite. Guess what's coming next? Lol

And poof goes another one. Looks like sprinkles and a few showers incoming. We need an actual rain event really badly.

I saw wild things in La Plata. I talked to the father of some poor teenage girl that worked at the Taco Bell that got obliterated. She was standing next to him in shock still. He brought her back there so she could understand what happened. Her friend that worked there was still missing if I remember correctly. I have no idea how she survived unhurt. The only thing left was the stools that were bolted to the foundation. The tornado ripped the blacktop off 301 where it crossed. It was an EF5. I'll fight anyone that says different lol

Ummm... wasn't it susposed to rain lol. I got a few sprinkles that didn't even wet the driveway. I saw model runs for up to an inch lol

I'm surprised to see this intensity and this widespread of a thunderstorm event. There's lots of lightning crashing all around here in the lowlands. Bring on the rain. We need it.

I feel for the orchards. Year #4 without a crop of peaches for northern MD. Apples also probably got cooked to. Having no local fruit sucks bad. I use to enjoy picking my own peaches from Lerry Land farms.

Radar looks like no smake at all lol. Just sprinkles and scattered showers for a couple hours. This won't even phase the soil moisture levels.

Oh look. Another mid summer day. This july hasn't been horrible but it hasn't been great. I can't wait for just slightly above average to return lol

Nice! Take a little ride up 81 and check out the snow towns. Pulaski is a beautiful little town. Oswego is another cool little snow town on the lake. Or head up the Tug Hill to Highmarket. That's big snow country up there.

It was a good rain here as well. It rained really hard when that line came through. Heaviest precip I've seen since being under those extreme LES band on the Tug back in January.

Another mid summer day. I bet DC easily breezes by 90 degrees today. We're the Tug Hill of heat. We get heat like they get snow. Super easy and always busting high.

I've seen this forecast before. 85 today or fog and 45. Normally I'd lean towards heat wining because that’s our superpower. The only thing that can beat heat in early April is the ne wedge. Hoodie weather with drizzle it is. Fine by me.

Yeah. March sucks. Worst month in the area. It's way worse up in the snowbelt. They'll be 55 one day followed by teens and blizzard conditions. Just like here but more intense. Well.. maybe not. We do go from 85 to snow the next day lol

I agree. What happened to having spring. We haven't had spring in years. It just goes from 40 and drizzle to 85 and humid. 55 and sunny would be interesting. Sweatshirt weather doesn't exist here. Just coats to shorts.
