  1. Anything but a miss to the south lol. The goal post seem to like the region as of now.
  2. Can we get a thread for the Monday event. It's starting to get confusing what system were talking about. The gfs just had a good run for Monday. Looks like another step to the euro.
  3. Lots of thunder and lightning. I can hear the wind in the distance. Holy shit the thunder sounds awesome. Fun storm coming through.
  4. Best thunderstorm radar I've seen this year lol
  5. Nice looking slug of moisture coming east into the DC metro. Maybe this is the rain we didn't get the other night.
  6. My point and click had 44 for the low. 32 for the actual low. Only 12 degrees off.
  7. Yup, but it did give us snow this time and it looks like a step towards the EURO. Edit: We get some flurries as the storm vanishes overhead.
  8. I don't know why this slapped so hard. That was hilarious lol
  9. Super dry, cold air should help the drought lol
  10. It should be interesting watching Jim Cantory live at Cape Hatteras getting blizzard conditions and thundersnow while we trip over frozen mud balls and break record low temps without snowpack lol
  11. Is Jay's Wintery mix our one and only, JI? Just followed lol
  12. Yet another storm bust on precip. The trend has been terrible as far as getting rain. Lakes and creeks still dried out.
  13. .85 for the weekend so far. Not bad but I like about an inch more. The sun is out and it's hot and humid.
  14. Anyone ever wonder about that ocean effect snow that comes off the gulf stream? It seems wild that snow falls on water that's really warm.
  15. Oh totally. And it basically was a screw job here like normal. I only got about 3". That was on top of almost 3' so I wasn't that bitter. The wind that morning was awesome though. It looked like the tundra here in the lowlands.
  16. Absolutely. It's why I started the subject. Have at it my friend.
  17. Oh I remember lots of tears as a kid from Miller B's. I remember one year when I was about 19yo. I had a blizzard party one night. It was susposed to set in around 8pm. My friends and I had our beers, sleds, joints and were partying down waiting on the snow. My buddy goes out around 8 for a cigarette and comes back in and says the sky is clear and the moon is out. We all go outside and see the full moon. I go downstairs and wait for the local on the 8's to see radar. The storm exploded to far NE and just missed us. It lit NY city up. It was so depressing lol
  18. Exactly! You nailed it. I just didn't want to get shit for being excited to walk on the wetlands and ponds. Shhhhh.. safety police are watching lol
  19. I did mention hating them lol. They never work out, but when they do... fun times. They normally make epic bust for our area.
  20. .48 so far. I think 2" by Monday is doable. Bring it! We need the wetlands and ponds to fill up.
  21. I know everyone here hates Miller B storms, myself included, for obvious reasons. If they do work out for us they are one of the funnest storms to watch unfold. Once that energy transfer takes place and you start seeing the wavy banding forming as the radar blossoms. That's usually when that NNE wind start moving and the snow starts falling in sheets, and than the snow fog sets in and it's on. It's been forever since I've seen this. I like the big shields coming from the south from a Miller A, but nothing beats that blossoming of heavy snow. One of the best radar presentations I've ever seen of an incoming storm was Jan 25, 2000. That was a blossoming shield rushing in from the SE.
  22. Looks like a huge east coast snowstorm at the end of the GFS run.
