Short range models seem to think it's going to be a rainy night for most of the area.

1.18" here in the South River watershed. It's still steadily lightly raining. I'm going to take a hike and check out the flowering mountain laurel.

Pouring in the lowlands. The watershed is coming alive. Im thinking about doing a rain hike this afternoon to check it out.

I've been watching this one sitting over the western gulf. It's not tropical but it has the tropical vibe. If models are correct we could ALL see a significant rainfall Monday night through Wednesday. The weather that follows looks beautiful.

Same lol. This is the greenest drought I've seen. I get .05 every 4-5 days. It seems to be keeping the grass alive for now.

So.. when does east of 95 get rain again lol. Looks like the forecast for next week is going dry too. I guess this is how a once in a 100 year drought is born.

It's crazy how it just won't rain. Congrats PA and central VA. Today looks like another boring non event. Water restrictions and extreme drought are becoming more and more likely with every storm bust.

Good to see Fredrick getting it's daily flood. Looks like another non event incoming here in the lowlands. It feels like there's been one decent rain in the past 2 years lol

NAM 3K likes the lowlands for 1-1.5". HRRR says we continue to drought while the same places that got rain a couple days ago get more rain.

As soon as I logged in I heard the crickets lol. I'm tracking a lonely storm west of DC that's moving in my general direction. I'm sure the forcefield will vaporizer it.

I've had nothing but slimy leaves in mine for the past year lol. This weekend fail didn't even wet the ground under the trees.

.09 total for the "event". Looks like sprinkles Thursday night and that's it for as far as the eye can see. By July it's going to be ugly around here unless we get an actual widespread rain. Not just a few counties around Frederick lol

At least you got something. My area had clouds with scattered sprinkles. Another boring non event to add to the drought pile.

The same ole shit here. Rain falls apart on approach and sprinkles for 30 minutes.

I hope your basement floods with sewage lol. Seriously, though. I'm happy to see the western areas getting the moisture. That area out there has been worse than my area. I don't hate the radar down south. I'd love to get some thunderstorm action.
