  1. A lot of work ahead to get the 6-8" LWX is now calling for
  2. It does seem odd to me that there aren't at the very least some advisories in the Wakefield region. I would expect those this afternoon. I've seen many times were LWX issues WSW's then downgrades to advisories. At the very least it makes the public aware something is coming. With Wakefield yet to issue anything, might catch some people by surprise.
  3. Seems the region of this sub-forum is the wild card in accumulations. All depends on how quick the cold air gets in and how much moisture is left when that happens. St. Mary's was left out of the warning area for now but hopefully that will change by this afternoon.
  4. Totally agree. Can't wait for some warmer temps but would love to see us cash in one more time.
  5. Pretty iced over here in Hollywood. Every surface appears to have a significant amount of ice except for pavement. Not sure what the roads are like except for earlier this morning when sleet/rain started wife said 235 was a skating rink. Roads were not pre-treated surprisingly. Event has definitely exceeded expectations around here. Do we have one last hurrah this week?
  6. Light to moderate snow for the past 30 mins with a dusting now.
  7. Yes we are getting it good down here. Haven't measured but i'd estimate around 3". Base operating on 2 hr delay when they should be closed.
  8. I like your call. CWG has the southern end of St. Mary's and your neck of the woods in a 5-10" range. I feel like we are sitting pretty right now.
  9. Hopefully amounts will mesh a little more with the afternoon package. Its a borderline WSW event for the southern end St. Mary's according to the latest snow map so it will be interesting to see what they do.
  10. Latest snowfall map from LWX has you and I in the 3-4" range and 4-6" is knocking on the door
  11. Too funny! Sad thing is most counties would be closed over here for an inch as well lol
  12. Anyone on the Eastern Shore get any accumulation last night? Looked pretty healthy on radar.
  13. Looks good to me. I like your 2-4" call for us down in the southern half of St. Mary's. Hope you guys get more over there!
  14. Snowdude wanted to thank you for jumping in to this sub-forum and giving your expertise here! Much appreciated.
  15. I just checked the latest SREF for KNHK and it is 3" as well. Would take that in a second!
  16. For us down here I don't think we need much of a north trend at all. Guess I need 30 miles less than you
  17. Would be lovely for us southern folks to cash in one more time!
  18. NHK is a big problem in the spring as well when we have a SE wind. Until the water warms up the temp on base can be significantly lower than even just off the base. Similar situation to DCA when they get a south wind.
  19. Thanks. Yes KNHK is less than 10 miles from me so that would be best for me. But I have seen many times where the base is a few degrees warmer than me in Hollywood in scenarios like this.
  20. Are any of the models giving southern md/eastern shore any front end thump tomorrow? Can't decipher from the main storm thread and haven't looked at any models...
