Looks like most of the region will be upgraded to WSW later. Potential for 6" exists for most places based on latest runs.

3K NAM is actually in line with recent Euro runs. 4-6" for most, with 8-10" in VA south of DC, southern MD, over to S DE.

Lol our yards look to get crushed even tho we flirt with the 850 mb 0 line as the coastal gets cranking.

Its going to be a nice event here, but remember the vort is going to become increasingly stretched and gradually weaken is it moves east and encounters confluence. The local forecast offices seem to have a good handle on the high end potential with this. The coastal low is a bit of a wildcard but at this point it seems most of the area wont see much impact from that.

Not sure where to put this but since the action has shifted to this thread- Fwiw the 18z EPS has the 'local' jackpot zone from lower S MD across the bay to interior Sussex DE. 8-10".

My brother measured 13.5" in Oak Ridge, north of Greensboro. Still snowing there, but sleet is just south.

Plenty of reports(and pics) of 10-12" around the Triad in the SE subforum storm thread.

Just looked at all the 12z runs and it seems like the closest accumulating snow might be lower S MD over to about Cambridge and SBY, Maybe an inch or 2 if it comes down hard enough to overcome the mildish boundary layer. Places just north of there might see some stray flakes. I doubt even that makes it up to my yard.

They get a lot of mixed events typically. I think the avg annual snowfall there is around 9". They have been on a nice streak, but this one will probably end up being the biggest event in many years.

Just got a report and a photo from my brother in Oak Ridge outside of Greensboro- its a pummeling. Approaching a foot already. Damn.
