  1. Couple more shots from Mt Washington. Really cool place to visit. If you havent been, put it on your bucket list.
  2. This might be the best T&L show of the summer here. And as a bonus, I gotz rain! 0.55" so far.
  3. Radar really blossoming and pouring here now. Long time coming. Nice welcome home after spending 2 extra hours sitting in traffic on 95 around NYC on the drive home because they can't seem to do road work at night. What a clusterfuk.
  4. Radar really blossoming just to my south and west. Hopefully even the leftover crumbs will add up to a half inch or so. That initial cell was really noisy and impressive electrically, but the heavy rain passed to my SW. Picked up a tenth of an inch.
  5. Tons of lightning and booming thunder here now. Will significant rain actually fall? Probably less than a 50% chance based on outcomes over the last couple weeks here.
  6. Just back from my trip. Looks like the total here since Sunday is 0.30". That brings the monthly total to 0.37"!! And ofc, the line currently pummeling NE MD has missed my yard by a few miles lol. Nice to see nothing has changed.
  7. Yeah DIPAs are usually higher gravity- 8 to 12% abv. Then you have the DFH 120 min- that is in another class at 18%. The holy grail as they say.
  8. Currently in Northhampton MA. Really cool little town. Drinking a Long Trail Vermont DIPA, Green Mountain Haze. Super good. Heading back to my burning yard tomorrow. Look for my posts in the drought thread shortly.
  9. Well if you wanna ski or snowshoe i concur. If you want to get up top, summer is the time to do it. With the wind it was a bit uncomfortable even yesterday. It's pretty spectacular though. Yesterday would have been a super high visibility day but the haziness was attributed to smoke from wildfires in Canada. Obviously the weather is typically brutal in winter at the summit, and auto road is closed. I guess the cog still runs unless the winds are blowing 100 mph or something. BTW, still some decent 'snow' in spots on the north face of Mt Washington, as well as a few places on other peaks on the Presidential range.
  10. View of Mt. Washington from my hotel balcony this morning, and a view from the summit taken yesterday. Temp was in the low 50s with wind gusting to 50.
  11. 57 and sunny here in Vermont. Perfect. It still looks like less than a tenth of an inch has fallen over the past 8 days at home lol. Cant wait to return my scorched brown yard.
  12. I could so live up here. So many great and unique quaint towns. In Manchester currently. Heading to Killington tomorrow and then really looking forward to Woodstock. Staying there tomorrow night. Then off to NH. 50-50 whether I do auto road or the cog. The cog is so unique, but pricey.. but then I love an adventurous mountain drive.
  13. We both know that story, and have had some great times chasing elsewhere.
  14. I couldn't take it anymore. My yard has missed every storm in every possible direction, failing in every possible way over the last week. That split/collapse last night with a solid line on my doorstep(and a warning) was pathetic and the last straw. Not a drop. I had to get away and forget about my dried out, burning yard. I am in Vermont now and working my way to NH. Absolutely gorgeous here. I will be at Mt Washington on Wed probably. Looks like mid 50s and ofc, very windy.
  15. 87/78 Just putrid. And no rain since last Saturday.
  16. My yard was missed to the east today, after being missed to the w and sw yesterday. The only sprinkles here are coming from my sprinkler currently.
  17. The Nimble Giant is what I got, and what I am drinking It is very good.
  18. I'll chase anything. lol. eta- I also needed some Troegs.
  19. 0.01" here. This is what it looked like in the town just a couple miles SW.
  20. Not enough to wet the ground here. Took a drive to the town of Ridgely no more than 3 miles sw of me to pick up a few things for dinner, and there are streets and yards underwater. Saw a little kid jumping off the porch into the pond that is now the front yard. Was still pouring there when I left. Still high and dry here.
  21. Radar looks just like most of the mesos were advertising. Probably going to be some 2-3" amounts down that way before it dies off. Not a drop here.
  22. Same here. Action to my north and just a few miles to my SW. I watered last night and this morning in anticipation of getting nothing today lol.
  23. Pretty good setup for torrential pulsers, esp just west/along and east of the bay where forcing along a low level boundary looks to get established. Most Mesos slam areas just to my SW with not much in my yard lol. Heads up Easton to Cambridge.
  24. It's definitely more uncomfortable than yesterday. No question. I was just outside watering and it is muggy, but tolerable. All shade here except for a bit of sun popping through the trees in places. If I was out in full sun it would be much more uncomfortable. My temp is down to 85 (in shade) and dew point is now 70. Living in the woods has its advantages.
