Those are the little breaks that yield a HECS.

I know full well the risks, and I won't go back on this....but this is a pattern moving forward that I will go to war with. N stream dominant-late bloomers. Figured to get a pattern like this in a la nina with a neg NAO, and its finally here. Not perfect with neg PNA, but it can still work.

Heh....s stream does end up sending something that almost phases w N stream 1/22. I find it hard to believe we won't end up with something decent this week.

Oh, yea....conceding that it will not inject, yes....its like a deformation...you either want to be in it, or no where near it.

I wonder what causes it to bury into the SW like that? Maybe the EPO ridge...

I added to the post...I mean the SW energy iteration of the event. Its clear that energy is hanging back.

I'm declaring 1/22-23 dead, unless we see drastic changes, quickly....as far as the SW contribution goes, anyway....the N stream could always compensate. Gonna have to hope for the clipper.

SW inject idea is gone...but EURO is trying for a pure N phase.

Euro has alot more N energy this run...maybe it will compensate for less SW energy....

GEFS trended better for the clipper, but in the wrong direction for 1/23.

ICON buries that SW energy, too now...which is a change from last night.

It ejected right out to make sure we had the Grinch in December....what a cursed season.

GEM maybe the most horrendous solution yet with regard to the sw energy....Retrogrades it into the Pacific. May pork the week.
