This may be a hot take, but I wouldn't hate a "sandwich" winter with a hot start, CAD, and another active period. The hot start really satiated that early season itch, and with it being a very decent start to the year I was appreciative during holiday travel not to be fighting the weather. Give us a pattern change before the end of the month and let us stack for a couple weeks then move on to spring.

Living in Schaumburg at the time, GHD 2011 takes the cake. Only complaint about that storm was the timing, speed or slow that storm by about 8 hours so we had daylight during the peak and that would have bean #chefskiss.

Some of the more impressive fog I have ever seen. Was in a turn lane and could not see the stop light until I was at the line, so well under 50 ft.

Ground is still warm too, clear off the snow and get some good cold days then lets start stacking again.

Some of the cheapest tickets I have seen available for this Sunday. Tons of lower bowl seats for well under $200.

Not hating the "snowpack in place, frequent refreshers" pattern we are in. Feeling pretty good for a white christmas.

Slight warmup and maybe some mixed/liquid precipitation midweek to ensure we go full glacier with the next arctic blast.
