When I worked as an observer at MKE, I could see lightning quite a ways south of Chicago sometimes so probably around 130 miles as well.

@dendrite ASOS has been down at BDL since last Thursday morning. Screen just says "NO CARRIER" and we were directed by FAA to just let obs go out on AUTO.

Best of luck in your new home! You've been here forever, will be weird not having your obs during the winter.

Wonder if this will be like 2020 where things flip to a torch around Memorial Day? Then again I lived out in Milwaukee at the time so I'm not sure how it evolved here but I assume it was similar.
