Lady Di replied to Mikeymac5306's topic in Philadelphia Region
Dry at the moment. Gusts coming. Gotta tell ya I don’t like high winds. Hope my Eagles banner makes it. Cooking early in case lose power later. I do have propane for when temps drop. Hope I don’t need it. Weird convection set up. -

A little snow tonight only to get washed away tomorrow night. Ugh this winter. At least it's been better than last year. -
I had a power outage early this morning. Restored in an hour so yeah hope no ice accretes causing any sort of power trouble for Sunday!!!

I was watching some of live coverage down there. WSWs all the way up to OBX/VA line. Just think if there was some blocking out there in the ATL. A site you don't ever really see

Thinking of postponing having folks over on Sunday-NFC Championship game is 1st this year so another 3pm start next Sunday!

I think the media being pretty hard on Hurts. I mean he threw a good ball right out of the gate. No TOs and I'm Ok with the conservative play calling. Of course, GB has a good defense and not many WRs were open. Here's hoping we get a good game on Sunday both rushing and passing. Our D is just unbelievable this season! They win championships! Following y'all that all this cold air doesn't get wasted on a bunch of dry windy days!!! Go Birds!

Random banter for the day: Amazing what you see after a storm. Impressive wind gusts out there, just saw a car dragging a gallon milk jug under it. Some people don't know how to secure their trash and it's all over the street. Driving in this morning I'm behind a car with FL tags and his roof and total back windshield still covered with snow. Octorara was closed again today as they can't keep the roads clear with this wind. I imagine it's pretty crazy out that way with blowing snow. Anyway, wishing my life away until Sunday at 4:30. Ready to roll and I'll gladly take another couple of inches of snow on Sat! Have tix to Longwood Gardens on Thursday.

1/6 snowstorm - nuisance event or something bigger?
Lady Di replied to LVblizzard's topic in Philadelphia Region
Saying this nicely, but we weren't even close to warning criteria despite being issued one. -

Yes. Spoke too soon! Having moderate SN now. -

Teeney Tiny flakes taking forever to accumulate! Did have some heavier SN fall about an hour ago for about 10-15 mins. Eyeballing an inch so far. I live on a main road and there's not much traffic right now and it looks to be slushy, cars and trucks are moving slower than usual. Furnace is getting a workout, and I don't want to look at that fuel gauge! Also, grateful I can work from home on days like this. 24F -

Sorta liking my spot never thought I’d say that. Hoping for the 4-6 range. But if it ends up 2-3 and stays all week I take. -
27F. Some flurries out there this morning.

January 3, 2025 Light Snow Event Observations
Lady Di replied to ChescoWx's topic in Philadelphia Region
Lancaster county though I'm not sure of exact location. EDITED: Top of water tower at Millersville U I left the office to finish my workday at home and the sun was still peeking through the clouds. While driving a whooping 7 miles you could see the clouds closing up and currently have light flurries.
