As I stand in this late February sun moving a ton of pellets into my garage, I smile at the sound of the snow melting off my roof.

How I know I am checked out… first thing I loop in the morning is 850mb temperatures. Like what I see starting end of next week and really around the 10th as Tip mentions above.

We’re pretty consistent in getting 1/3 of the forecast. Monday: forecast 15”. Actual 6” Wednesday: forecast 3”. Actual 1”. At least cleanup will be easy.

Snowing lightyears better right now than at any point on Monday.

Compared to last 7 years this year has been an A++++. But compared to climo and what could have been it’s a B-.

Mt. Washington golf course is going to be baked by August and October for my 2 tournaments up there. Going to be like playing in Scotland.

My expectation of flurries is generally based off my annoyance with winter at this current moment. Was forecasted for 15” and got 5”.

I’m very confused by this suggestion.

NWS has me for 3” but honestly expecting just flurries.

I had this conversation with myself this morning. B- A+ on snow pack retention A- on cold (though becoming less of a fan as I age) C for snow Weight it 60/30/10 (snow, pack, cold) and it’s a B-.

Apple Weather app has 13-16” for this. So it must be coming.
