  1. A few flakes now. Maybe we can get a garbage-time field goal and avert a complete shutout.
  2. Based on radar yes, but there’s a ton of dry air here. Still 10 mile visibility. Maybe it’ll be more impressive in your area.
  3. GYX talked about that dry nose this morning. Could put us at the low end of that 1-3 range in SW Maine. It's remarkable how, regardless of synoptics, this area has been a reliable snow hole lately.
  4. The "heavier" stuff looks to be north and east of me, after missing to the south on Friday. I'm not expecting much more than a dusting from this, but I'd take it for holiday mood purposes.
  5. No thanks. SNE has theirs. The guidance on this has been consistent, including both the track and the lack of moisture. I'm just hoping for some mood flakes and maybe a coating.
  6. Maybe 5 flakes here last night. Ground completely bare. Hopefully we get a little something on Tuesday.
  7. Winds have died down here for the most part. I’ve certainly had my fill.
  8. Ripping here now. Best-looking snow so far.
  9. Damage done. Fortunately no cars or humans were in the driveway.
  10. Just kind of a flizzard here at this point. Best banding north of here as noted.
  11. I always get a kick out how CMP’s public messaging pivots from the pre-storm “we’re preparing so we’ll be ahead of things and can efficiently restore power” to “this was an extreme event and we’re scrambling to assess things but it could be days before we fix everything.” I know it’s a huge, challenging job and I wouldn’t want to trade places with them. I’m guessing this could be a longer recovery than the recent ice storm since the damage seems much more widespread across NE (as opposed to the relatively narrow band that saw significant icing).
  12. Snow and wind picking up again. Will be interesting to see how much accumulates during daylight with these marginal temps.
  13. Classic April snow - everything caked, birds chirping.
  14. 32, -SN. Eyeballing about 3-4”. Winds were really roaring most of the night, but seem to have backed off a bit. Lost power at around 4:30.
