  1. Hands down the worst day I've ever seen for Gnats here.
  2. Haha. Yeah a few went down my throat. Got a few in my eyes too. Towards the end I was running with my eyes closed to try to avoid them, lol.
  3. Yeah dewpoint got to 72 here. I went for a run this afternoon and it was the worst ever dealing with Gnats as I was running. By the end of the run I had at least a couple hundred dead Gnats stuck to my face, neck and arms. I couldn't believe it when I looked in the mirror. It looked as if I was made up for Halloween, lol. Worst run EVER. Give me 95 degrees with moderate humidity in the middle of summer over what we have today.
  4. Wow actually a little rain for a change. 0.08" here so far today, and I'm glad it now appears that we're gonna get some rain from Helene's remnants.
  5. Brutal. Hopefully they'll be up to the challenge.
  6. Horrible. The way things look right now, I'll be surprised if we get a tenth of an inch. I'll keep watering.
  7. Keeping my fingers crossed that we get enough to water things. HRRR and NAM 3km tonight have this area near the edge of the more significant rain. We could get a half inch or almost nothing here.
  8. Yeah I'm desperate for the vegetable garden to get a drink, even if it isn't a lot of rain. A quarter to half inch would make me happy, which still looks possible for tomorrow into Thursday but we'll see.
  9. RGEM looks decent too, giving a lot of the area close to a half inch. We're not gonna get the big soaking that we want to end the dry spell, but hopefully it will be enough to give things a decent watering. I'd be happy with .25" to .50".
  10. Another overperformer today. It's 82 here. We sure wiped out the significant negative departure that we had for the first 10 days of the month.
  11. Yeah it's still very questionable how much rain we'll get midweek, as bluewave just explained. I won't get my hopes up too high yet.
  12. And today's CMC gives our area a half inch to three quarters of an inch Wednesday into Wednesday night. Still a long way to go, but overall the models right now looks pretty good. Let's hope we finally get a desperately needed drink.
  13. And he also called for warmer than normal temps this week when other forecasts were cooler. Great job by WX/PT! We won't see 87 like yesterday, but another warm one today. It's 80 degrees here right now.
  14. Now up to 87 here. Feels like the middle of summer, but with low humidity. Beautiful day.
