Most guidance is on board for a round of snow showers associated with the front. Then, we could get lucky and catch a long streamer off the lakes tomorrow. They'll likely pick up another 3-6" this weekend from upslope. Canaan already received 20" this week and has made a decent recover from what was an awful Nov/Dec. 50" in January and 21" so far this month. It's really sad, but damn if I ever get stuck in traffic for 8 hours because of 1" and untreated roads. My butt is going to be out the door before 3pm today to ensure that doesn't happen. Plus snow? =stalled cars, bashed cars needing tows, etc. And NOT having to deal with new plowbergs enroute. (there are still a few, mainly in big box parking lots and a few corners). osfan24 Posted February 12, 2016 Share Posted February 12, 2016 It seems absurd but there is plenty of evidence about what happens around here when we get a squall or heavy snow burst and the roads are cold and it's rush hour. People are taken by surprise, visibility drops, roads quickly freeze up and it's a disaster. It seems embarrassing but it's just the nature of too many people who don't know how to drive in general and are even worse in the snow and being in a big city.
