snywx
0z GFS... 1.5"+ for pretty everyone in here. CCB sits overhead. Best run yet for our area.

Check out this upper-level divergence - just excellent support for heavy precip.
snywx
Yeah I don't get some of the post in the main forum about it not being as good... Sh*t from what I saw it looks amazing for us in the HV. I thought I was seeing things for a second. lol

LaGrangewx
Overall great trends today for us. Cmc has been rock solid in its guidance past few days and ulstercountysnowz called it earlier today seems like models are slowly caving towards the Canadian. Surprisingly caving*** hahaha
Juliancolton
The Euro sfc is still pretty wonky. .8 to .9" for us, with absolutely no room for error... we certainly want the GFS to have the bigger clue here.

I mentioned it before... With a storm cutting off that far south I doubt we get those crazy totals being spit out by the GGEM/GFS. This has DC written all over it. I hope im wrong though

LaGrangewx
Very annoying how the euro still screws anyone north of say central New Jersey. It is beginning to become more and more different then the gfs and Canadian I really have trouble believing the 30" in extreme North. North Carolina and 40" in extreme southern Virginia that the euro puts out. That seems a little unreasonable unless the storm closes off much earlier than the both cmc and gfs have modeled

It is beginning to become more and more different then the gfs and Canadian Nothing is set in stone yet but the Euro prob has the right idea. Whats funny though is I keep thinking about the "blizzard" that the EC had us getting right down to the minute while every other guidance had us getting shafted. Well maybe it can happen the other way around too lol.. Time will tell

chietanen
The Euro ensembles were essentially unchanged from 12z for our region. Basically 0.6-1" QPF from north (Ulster/Dutchess) to south (Westchester). Looking at individual members, about 20 are good hits (8"+), 14 are mostly misses (<2"), and the remainder fall in between.
