Mount Rainier, Washington State

one of my favorite places, nice set

shame last winter was so relatively dry

did you head onto the glacier at all?

Thanks.

There was a big lack of old snow on the mountain. The mountain did get some new snow one day I was there.

No, didn't venture onto the glacier. Was going to try to make it to the Carbon Glacier later in the week, but the weather turned. Actually one of the days I was there, a climber fell and died climbing on one of the glaciers. There was a whiteout in progress at the time.

Thanks everyone else.

It's a beautiful place with a lot of interesting weather and fast changing weather. The mountain hosts different microclimates and weather patterns that are unique from other areas of the Cascade Mountains.

Rainier dominates the entire Puget Sound area. This was taken a good 40 miles away - even at this distance it seemed huge.
