djr5001
One of the pros to AmericanWx that I have enjoyed is everyone sharing useful links to anything weather related. This may be links for different model runs, to observations, to archived analyses, to collections of photos. It is often hard to go back though a thread to find a link so I figured why not try this. I have a large list of links I often use myself and would love to add what others often like to use as well. This way both meteorologists and weather enthusiasts can come across new links they may have never seen before and share favorites of their own. I will edit this as often as I can and hopefully organize the format as best as I can. This will take a while to get every link I have on here but I think it will be worthwhile in the long run! *Last Updated 02/07/2017* **Figured out that I actually can fix broken links so in the process of doing so** Current Conditions: *Surface-Weather Channel | Unisys | Unisys 2 | NCAR-RAP/METAR | MesoWest PA | NOAA MADIS Surface Observations | 3-Hour Pressure Change *Satellite- Rapid Update Visible (set to lat 40N lon -75W) | WPC Satellite Surface | GOES Radar: *National- Nationwide NWS Loop | NWS Radar Status Page | Intellicast National Radar | University of Washington National 6-Hour Radar Loop | COD NEXRAD Single Site Radar *State College (kccx)- NWS State College | State College UCAR 6-Hour Radar Loop *Lancaster- WGAL Live Streaming Doppler Radar *Pittsburgh(kpbz)- NWS Pittsburgh | Pittsburgh UCAR 3-Hour Radar Loop *Sterling (klwx)- NWS Sterling | Marylandwx KLWX Models: *e-Wall- PSU e-WALL | Millersville Univerity Virtual Map Wall *NAM- NCEP NAM *GFS- NCEP GFS *ECMWF- Meteocentre.com ECMWF *CMC- CMC Precip Type Loop *UKMET- Meteocentre.com UKMET *SREF- NCEP SREF | SPC SREF NCEP SREF Plume Viewer (Default Home) *HRRR- HRRR *Models- GDPS 0z/12z | RDPS 0z/6z/12z/18z | Meteocentre.com CMC/GFS/ECMWF/UKMET Comparison *Additional Good Model Data Sites- Tropical Tidbits | Instant Weather Maps | pivotal weather | TwisterData.com | Txtornado.net (Great MOS/Bufkit Worksheet) | Earl Barker's Website | stormhamster | Longwave Weather *MOS- MOS Forecast Products | KUNV MOS | KMDT MOS | KLNS MOS | KTHV MOS | KPIT MOS | KAOO MOS | KJST MOS | KFIG MOS | KIPT MOS | KAVP MOS | KMPO MOS | KABE MOS | KRDG MOS | KHGR MOS | KPHL MOS | KBGM MOS | KIAD MOS | KDCA MOS | Current MOS Error NOAA/NWS: *National Weather Service- NWS Home | NWS Products (Open WFOs of interest in tabs) *Storm Prediction Center- Storm Prediction Center Home | SPC Soundings | SPC Mesoanalysis Snow/Ice: State College Snow and Ice Forecast Map | Mount Holly Snow and Ice Forecast Map | Pittsburgh Snow and Ice Forecast Map | NWS Binghamton Snow Forecast | NWS Baltimore/Washington DC Snow Forecast | NOHRSC | WPC Snowfall Probability Forecasts | SREF Plume Viewer State College Total Snow NWS Snow Measurement Guidelines | CoCoRaHS Measuring Snow COOP: *State College - NWS State College NOWData (COOP) | State College Daily Climo (COOP) General Good Weather Websites: coolwx.com Bob Hart's Website (Good Tropical links) CIPS Historical Analog Guidance Other AmericanWX Region Link Threads: *NYC Metro- Storm Tracking Images *Mid Atlantic- Useful Weather Links Soundings: SPC Soundings Wind: hint.fm Wind Map | earth.nullschool Wind Map | Windyty Wind Map Air Quality: Hurricane: Unorganized links: NWS River/Precip Weather Prediction Center (WPC) Climate Prediction Center NWS Flash Flood Guidance Text mPING High Plains Regional Climate Center - Climate Products Active Fire Mapping Program American Associate of State Climatologists *Power Outage Maps- First Energy | PPL PA Flash Flood Guidance SPIA-Index World Air Quality Index Map Tropical Atlantic MJO Update GEM-MACH Air Quality Model UTC Conversion Chart Model Data Count Historical Weather Events Document (pre 1900) NJ Weather & Climate CIMSS Satellite Blog Latest GOES Aerosol Optical Depth | GASP NOAA - GLERL (Great Lakes)

canderson
So where can we go to find snow totals for stations? I used to use the climatology site through PSU (http://climate.met.psu.edu/www_prod/data/city_information/index.php?city=unv&page=dwa&type=city) but it's been done for a while now. For CO-OP station data for anywhere in the United States, you can view it on this site if you create a (free) account: http://mrcc.isws.illinois.edu/CLIMATE/ Records for ASOS sites (e.g., IPT) are usually available on this site, too. Please send me any useful links you would like added, especially winter weather related ones, and updated links to pages that I may have linked that no longer exist! Rick G
I am not sure how this fits in, but I do find it useful http://511pa.com It has road conditions and web cams. I alos like the snow plow feature which shows the locations of PennDot snow plows on State roads. I am sure other states have something similar.
