Normally Im not a fan of other areas storms, but in this case Im rooting Duluth on. Little to no snowcover in most of the north country (outside Lake Belts) and we WANT a snowcover to be laid down, as it will only help our cause in the near future. Is bare ground going to stop an arctic blast? No (see a few weeks ago as an example), but snowpack certainly helps the cause and magnitude.

Receiving a mix here now as heavier returns move in. 36°

Hope you can get something wintry on the ground...even if it will melt tomorrow.

I still have a couple inches in the shade here from our lake enhanced events and the snow piles are frozen solid. We lost a ton of snow this weekend. I don't think the snowcover will survive this warmup, but I think the snow piles can. :)

A SLOW MOVING WINTER WEATHER SYSTEM WILL CONTINUE TO AFFECT THE AREA

TONIGHT. LIGHT SNOW OR FLURRIES WILL FALL DURING THE EVENING HOURS

ACROSS MOST AREAS...WITH SOME AREAS OF FREEZING DRIZZLE. ALONG THE

NORTH SHORE OF LAKE SUPERIOR...SNOW BANDS WILL CONTINUE THIS EVENING

WITH ANOTHER 2 TO 4 INCHES EXPECTED.

WIDESPREAD LIGHT TO MODERATE SNOW IS EXPECTED TO REDEVELOP LATER

TONIGHT AND OVERSPREAD MOST OF THE AREA BY WEDNESDAY MORNING AS THE

MAIN PART OF THE MAJOR WINTER STORM TO OUR WEST MOVES NORTHEASTWARD.

THIS SNOW WILL BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES ON WEDNESDAY. PLEASE REFER TO

* SNOW ACCUMULATIONS...ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM 10 TO 15
  INCHES THROUGH TONIGHT. THREE DAY STORM TOTAL SNOWFALL AMOUNTS
  THROUGH EARLY THURSDAY IN EXCESS OF 2 FEET WILL BE COMMON. SOME
  LOCALES ALONG THE HIGHER TERRAIN ADJACENT TO THE NORTH SHORE
