Amped
Or maybe this is just a list of storms that bombed near the east coast. Triple Phaser is a little subjective. If I see 962MB and 504dm over the US or adjacent coastal waters I consider it a tripple phaser even. Let me know if I missed any, there maybe some midwestern storms. 2/12/1899 http://docs.lib.noaa...9/18990213.djvu 12/26/1909 http://docs.lib.noaa...9/19091226.djvu 3/2/1914 http://docs.lib.noaa...4/19140302.djvu 3/7/1932 http://docs.lib.noaa...2/19320307.djvu 2/14/1940 http://docs.lib.noaa...0/19400214.djvu 2/17/1958 http://docs.lib.noaa...8/19580217.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...58_500_loop.gif 1/17/1959 http://docs.lib.noaa.gov/rescue/dwm/1959/19590117.djvu http://greatlakes.salsite.com/maps/jan1517_1959_500_loop.gif 1/20/1961 http://docs.lib.noaa...1/19610120.djvu 12/1/1964 http://docs.lib.noaa...4/19641201.djvu 1/30/1966 http://docs.lib.noaa...6/19660130.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...66_500_loop.gif 3/3/1971 http://docs.lib.noaa...1-19710307.djvu 2/20/1972 http://docs.lib.noaa...4-19720220.djvu 2/2/1976 http://docs.lib.noaa...2-19760208.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...76_500_loop.gif 1/10/1977http://docs.lib.noaa...0-19770116.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...77_500_loop.gif 1/9/1978 http://docs.lib.noaa...9-19780115.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...78_500_loop.gif 1/26/1978 http://docs.lib.noaa...3-19780129.djvu http://greatlakes.sa...78_500_loop.gif 3/17/1981 http://www.meteo.psu...1981/us0317.php 1/23/1987 http://www.meteo.psu...1987/us0123.php 1/4/1989 http://www.meteo.psu...1989/us0104.php 3/13/1993 http://www.meteo.psu...1993/us0313.php 2/4/1995 http://www.meteo.psu...1995/us0204.php 12/30/1997 http://www.meteo.psu...1997/us1230.php 1/21/2000 http://www.meteo.psu...2000/us0121.php 3/9/2005 http://www.meteo.psu...2005/us0309.php 12/27/2010 http://www.meteo.psu...2010/us1227.php http://www.greatlakes.salsite.com/Phasing_Storms.html http://docs.lib.noaa.gov/rescue/dwm/data_rescue_daily_weather_maps.html

Amped
Triple bunner for this thread. Thanks gthis thread needed some love. I really enjoy looking at the animated maps for these even though most of them screwed the Mid Atlantic. Not everyone shares that interest apparently
OKpowdah
you can't just take a min pressure / height and say that because it's a strong storm therefore it's a triple-phaser. The definition is a phasing of disturbances in the three jet streams ... subtropical, polar, and arctic
Amped
you can't just take a min pressure / height and say that because it's a strong storm therefore it's a triple-phaser. The definition is a phasing of disturbances in the three jet streams ... subtropical, polar, and arctic I was very subjective. Some people might only consider 1978 and 1993 triple phasers. Since I can't find a precise scientific definition for a triple phaser, I figured you guys can decide for yourselves which ones of these you consider triple phasers and any you'd like to had. I ignored 4/6/1982 and 4/16/07 because I felt there wasn't really a polar vortex involved . Some might have included those though.
