I'd say U-Thant, real NWS met who was in MLB in 2004 and probably has forgotten more about hurricanes than most people ever knew. But only if he kept posting here. And leaving Florida for Atlanta. Wasn't he at TWC for only a year or so? yup, or thereabouts... i'm wondering why he left the NHC to go to TWC...perhaps he knew eventually Bill Reed would be retiring and was interested in taking over but needed some kind of other experience so he took the job at TWC? of course my brain formulates other theories but they are more negative...and it seems too often these days threads go negative...this is just me being curious out loud...either way, Congrats to Bill Reed and Dr. Rick Knabb!
