Is it bad im kinda depressed over not seeing any lightning or hearing thunder?

Maybe it's just because it's your user name lol. We didn't have any either but we still saw rates of up to 2-3"/hr easily. It would have been sweet, but the very strong winds and intense snowfall rates more than made up for it. Besides, it won't be long and we'll be hearing thunder associated with sups.
Yup, pretty much.

1.4" is my three hour total so far. Not too far off what many areas of SEMI received before the dry slot took hold. Now, looking back on DTX radar there is 40dbz over SEMI and SWON. ]

Hopefully we'll start getting some good drifting. But, like you said, it's better to receive 6" of gentle accumulations, but it's also awesome to see a couple inches turn into several foot high drifts and whiteout conditions!

Surface low looks like it's somewhere between Indianapolis and Muncie.

29.43in (996mb) being reported at MIE right now, so it would make sense.

I havent broke freezing on my thermometer yet, If the low is there I will probably drop from here on out. Still awaiting the winds to pick back up? Trees are still crackling, doesnt look like we have lost any ice buildup.

We just hit 34. Sounds like a fair amount of ice is melting off of the trees. Just a few branches and dead limbs have fallen so far, nothing major. The sleet definitely saved us tonight.

Still barely hanging on to light snows here, had about 3 inches estimate from the main system and about 2 inches from the WAA. A bit disappointing as the WAA significantly underperformed what it was supposed to do here(4-7 inches). Not going to complain too much though as 1. Its been a cool system to follow for those of you in SE Iowa/IL and 2. For the past 2 weeks every system slid either to the south and west or north and east, very nice to get some accumulating snowfall again.

Milwaukee's now getting into a band of consistent 2" per hour snowfall rates. We were probably at 1" per hour rates for the last 6 hours.

I never imagined I would see something like what is going on outside right now.. Literally can't see the house across the street except for its house light.. Gotta be going on near an hr under this band now. Screw snowpack when you can witness something like this. My attitude has taken a 720 degree turn since earlier. Wish I wasn't comfortable because I would like to be getting some vid of this.. I did catch the first part of it as Joe (Chicago Storm) was trying to get me timed right to get some t-snow on cam but no dice... just moderate heavy snow but it was about as exciting as it comes.

I was going to try and catch up on the thread but I'll save that for tomorrow night when I can take it all in and not be rushing through all yours post.. Feels good to just sit back and chill with ya's finally.

Winds are very calm here, the highest I see on the network we have in office is 5mph. I also have a splitting headache right now. :D Pressure ranges from 994 to 998 also.

I'm surprised I don't have one after all of this. :P I can honestly say this was one of if not the most challenging winter storm forecasts for LAF in the past few years. The emotional highs, lows, thinking one thing one minute and another thing the next minute.

Temp has risen to 25 here but I'd guess we won't rise much more if at all.
