  1. Past hour
  2. They keep shifting these products earlier and earlier. I like the approach of NWS Nashville:
  3. Next week dry all week and sunny :-) Monday and Tuesday in the low 70s After that a little cooler but no one will care because it will be sunny. Temperatures don't really matter now, it's all about sunshine.
  4. Gonna drop Lesco crabgrass preventer Friday ahead of the upcoming ruined weekend. With forsythia in bloom, it’s time
  5. so if it was cold enough this would be the peak time for snowstorms.
  6. Lowest temperature I was able to find in our area was 26 at Toms River. Maybe well NW of us it's in the teens? Good news, looks like both Monday and Tuesday next week will be warm and sunny and in the lower 70s.
  7. The Pacific Jet begins to relax in the spring allowing more STJ interaction.
  8. 28 in the lowlands. No peaches or apples again this year.
  9. I agree with you, I only know a few people who clear a snowboard every 6 hours. Maybe the NWS just wanted everyone to use the same method so they told everyone to just measure the snow at the end of the storm (or just after it changes over in a mixed event) because they knew most wouldn't bother to measure every 6 hours and clear a board?
  10. Thanks for this. Sounds like a death blow for people with a pool if this continues
  11. the wind era, what a time to be alive
  12. 22° and the neighborhood is choked with the smoke from fires that the farmers are burning in the orchards to protect the trees.
  13. A significant, if not majority of the spotter snowfall reports that comporise the official NWS snowfall total maps are depth measurements. I know this for a fact...I'm sure you can find an article that claims that the sun if brown if you look long enough, but that doesn't make it so.
  14. it's going to snow in the Poconos from this?
  15. why doesn't this ever happen in the winter anymore and all snow ? and also, what happened to that strong pac jet ?
  16. We could standardize it by simply using a sliding scale snowfall to liquid ratio depending on temperatures. It won't always be accurate but it will be consistent.
  17. I don't care what the article states, I know for a fact that it isn't standardized. Again...I have had a 6 hourly measurement discarded by BOX, so perhaps they need to read your article.
  18. why can't we just adjust these storms with a sliding scale snow to liquid ratio based on temperatures during the storm? Chris, offhand do you have a list of the top 5 liquid equivalent all snow events? January 2016 must be number one, it was 3 inches LE at JFK.
  19. It’s been a while since we had a 4 day nor’easter like the Euro has from Thursday into Sunday.
  20. It wasn't your imagination. https://www.msn.com/en-us/general/general/the-u-s-just-had-its-windiest-start-to-spring-in-nearly-50-years/ar-AA1CvYrA?utm_source=GetKim.com
