Wish I could give it 200%. Today is a day that makes spring worth living.
-
Clear and dry with no wind. Temps drop like a rock

Fair. It just feels like in CT, you have all that CT has to offer, plus NYC, MA and Boston not too far away. (of course, now that I live here, I'm not thinking of going to NYC or Boston for regular visits, but I did want to get one of the specialists I need in Boston, as I was previously her patient in OK and she moved, too) I'm sorry about your parents. As much as I hate to think of it, my parents are getting older and I hate being so far away from them now. I'm hoping I can get them here and be around to take care of them when they need care. I'm super close to my parents and this is the first time I've ever lived more than an hour away (and that was for a couple of years only).

I saw that earlier but just now realized that they posted in a thread from 15 months ago and not three months ago. Time flies.

I need it to not rain Saturday. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary and a throwing a large formal dinner party and renting out Greystone and rain would suck.
-
Saturday looks like crap but timing could change.
-
I was around 77 degrees around 4PM, now I'm down to near 60 degrees. Was there some type of front go through? That's a pretty dramatic drop in temps.
-
I am in legit tears reading the random post from someone recently in the January Banter thread. The reactions are the icing on the cake Where on earth did that come from?
-

Even in Maine where I'm going is pretty good too and I'll be near the ocean for those ocean breeze days though it does get hot at times. Portland is close by, and New Hampshire is too.
-
That's what it looked like at the Gold Course during the tornado, one guy had his windshield cracked.

The we got very lucky yet again here in MSP where we split the storms this afternoon. It has been a very long time since we have had a significant storm come through. Only a matter of time before that averages out. .

2025 Atlantic Hurricane Season
Stormchaserchuck1 replied to BarryStantonGBP's topic in Tropical Headquarters
A lot of cold SSTA right now from Africa to almost the Virgin islands.. this is much different from last year. Last Spring the central-south Atlantic waters were warm where it is now cool. I think Gawx has posted the stats about the rate of cooling there. -
2025-2026 ENSO
Stormchaserchuck1 replied to 40/70 Benchmark's topic in Weather Forecasting and Discussion
A big reason we didn't have big snows last Winter was the La Nina subtropical jet.. this started in May 2024, just when ENSO usually starts effecting for the year.. If I had to guess, I would say last Winter acted like a Moderate east-based La Nina. -
Looking like a giant bust across the board.

Between Dartmouth-Hitchcock in Hanover, NH and the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, there is some great healthcare options up here too. It's different if you live in a small town a distance away from those areas but in terms of quality, it's quite high. When my parents were going through their terminal illnesses in south Georgia and northern Florida, I would have given anything to have them back up here.
-
Also remains to be seen how much qpf. It may end up kind of light amounts Steiny in hinies.
-
Fine here as it should move out early.. but it can linger out east as front stalls there
-
If only dewpoints could stay this low through the rest of summer.
-
Dry air and strong sunshine will do that 9 out of 10 times.
-
Today is splendid. Low dews. Warm
-
Fail for the metro unless stuff fires real soon. Got a decent downpour in north Minneapolis this morning but the airport only reported 0.01”

A variety of reasons, really. (I've dreamed of living in Maine since I was real little, but in compromise with my family who I hope will come up here eventually, I settled with southern New England, but it's also about all of the options for medical care and the like I have down here. I'm not made to live in the middle of nowhere lol) I'm going to have to deal with it. I relocated to CT last summer, so I've experienced mid-June onward in the state. Once I'm acclimated it gets a little better. I was blown away by how much cooler summer was aside from some nasty days here and there. And that summer was above average??? WOW. I love where I live now. Just give me some time to acclimate to the warming weather. lol Lol, no. I don't drink. I'm just naturally like this. Sorry to say. Does getting drunk make you more susceptible to heat? Sure am glad I never got in the habit!

Warmest day of the year so far today with 86 here, DVN and MLI both hit 87. Looking forward to some late night Iowa sloppy seconds.
