Updated to 6 gone, the pilot and 5 members of the same family (both parents and three children). Awful Awful news.
-
I've always wanted to see it, how far is that hill from where you live?
-
Yes it was updated to 6 perished, the 6th one was the pilot. 5 are all from one family, both parents and 3 children :-'(

Any end to this crappy pattern in sight? The endless rain is getting old and depressing.

Horrible. I'm hearing 6 deaths including some children.

Maybe if I hike up Jayne’s Hill and jump really high I can catch some catpaws.

18z NAM is around 32 to 33 all day Saturday with a crap load of qpf
-
-
My weather underground app has me at 1-3, 1-3, 1-3. Lol
-
HRRR and the 18z NAM say yes!
-
Big helicopter crash in the Hudson, 6 fatalities reported!
-
18z NAMs and HRRR look fine. Most of us over an inch, and up to 2"+ in lucky spots. The difference is that the HRRR centers the precip in the center and east of the DC/Balt region, while the NAMs favor spots W of 95.

Not bad - at good ratios that's 12-18 inches of snow...we take.

I haven't been feeling good this week with the return of gloomy winter-like wx. Way too much overcast and bitter winds, I and others I'd speak to felt cold early this week no matter the situation. Worse off now than I was in January with it being boring, snowless. Great time to escape to a warm sunny spot (in April). This afternoon getting a rain and snow combo 5C/41F.
-
I remember seeing these going back to my elementary school days -- it always made sense that it's colder as you go up in elevation. I didn't know anything about inversions back then lol. I think I learned inversions when our family bought a house in the mountains back when I was in middle school and then I found out that it's often colder in the valleys than it is on the mountain tops.

Ya but with most of the snow happening at night both nights will help..

The radar looks way worse than what it is. I have been under greens most of the day... and nothing
