  1. Past hour
  2. I swear to god if Elias does some sort of “getting Grayson back next year is like trading for an ace” sort of phrase, I’m going to lose my freaking mind
  3. Same here. Iowa storms crapped the bed before reaching the MS river. Towers going up overhead now as the cold front is passing by atm. Should fire up some storms about 15-30 miles east of here in a bit.
  4. Except...they didn’t. This team was incredibly young and inexperienced--that's why they didn't do anything in the playoffs. I do not believe that's the best they can be--they are too talented to not be able to do much more than that. It could just be an issue of leadership--and there's still time to correct that. I mean with this core, you actually make the right moves to add to the team, and possibly get a new manager, this could turn around in one season.
  5. Yeah he's done...it's a crying shame with as much potential as he has. I was looking for him to grow into an ace, but alas...
  6. Almost sure Detroit would've asked for Basallo and Holliday, lol That to me was the issue with last year's trade deadline...Elias got a lot of heat for that, but teams were literally asking for the two TOP prospects to trade for pitching...so I gave him a bit of a pass for that. Asking prices were absolutely ridiculous! The off-season on the other hand? Surely there had to be somebody better than Charlie Morton...
  7. Today
  8. He gone. Up to the young pitchers and hope the Os are within a few games of 500 when/if Bradish and Wells make it back down the road. This is all on Elias.
  9. That's four years away, man. Still time for ownership to right the ship (as in firing Elias if need be).
  10. It almost always does. Next week may be 70+ everyday . Some are calling for assmist and -NAO right into May but others tossed that idea
  11. No, just referenced to many areas seeing 80 degree temps. Couple days next week look super nice!
  12. At NWS Mount Holly, the low temperature this morning was 33 and the high temperature was a balmy 74. Quite the range there! Yup, Spring.
  13. Tomorrow will be unseasonably warm with readings soaring into the upper 70s and lower 80s in the New York City. The warmest spots will see temperatures approach the middle 80s. The generally mild weather will continue into at least the middle of next week, although Monday could be briefly cooler. It will also remain mainly dry into at least early next week. The ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly was +1.2°C and the Region 3.4 anomaly was -0.1°C for the week centered around April 9. For the past six weeks, the ENSO Region 1+2 anomaly has averaged +1.25°C and the ENSO Region 3.4 anomaly has averaged +0.33°C. Neutral ENSO conditions will likely continue through at least late spring. Early indications are that summer 2025 will be warmer than normal in the New York City and Philadelphia areas. The potential exists for a much warmer than normal summer (more than 1° above normal). The SOI was -13.12 yesterday. The preliminary Arctic Oscillation (AO) was -0.165 today. Based on sensitivity analysis applied to the latest guidance, there is an implied 55% probability that New York City will have a cooler than normal April (1991-2020 normal). April will likely finish with a mean temperature near 53.4° (0.3° below normal).
  14. A lot of "neutral" indicators at this point. the best we have going for us is long term +AMO, but remember for 100 years, the average number of named storms/year was 9-10. Here's the SLP April to date It's running about a -0.2 correlation to the maps I posted above.. actually hard to get a hyperactive season without this tripole condition in April-May. We do have a nice low pressure near the Azores so far, which is somewhat good.
  15. 79.6/42.2 at 5:30 pm, in April, yuck. SSW wind 13 gusting 25 mph, double yuck.
  16. Never a good thing when you want a 2nd opinion. Got to be more than even money that he needs some sort of surgery at this point.
  17. The weeklies had that look hopefully it has changed
  18. ^Is that all time records, or forecasted? It looks like we have a really nice ridge setting up for the next 15 days!
