We tried and tried and tried to tell them. They had COC and long range accuweather forecasts and Moregarbage tweets. -

LOL at this point I'd be thrilled with a half inch. My total since July 2 has been 0.8 and everything is just parched. It's my last summer here as we're moving to southern Calvert next spring. I grew up in southern MD so I know what that means for winters, but maybe I'll actually see thunderstorms in the dang summer

I thought of that when I read something recently about being able to make your own portable particle collider lol. When you turn the lights out you can actually see the particles glow as they collide. -

Outflow coming from the storm moving east. Also the storm is collapsing due to becoming dominated by downdrafts. You can see the outflow boundary racing south on radar. -

it's interesting how the really long 7+ day heatwaves have become very rare, our last one was in 2013. Any thoughts on why this has happened Don? Are frontal passages during the summer becoming more common? I remember during the megaheatwave in July 1993 that lasted 10 days that there was no frontal passage for almost 2 weeks lol. In July 1999 we had an 11 day heatwave without any frontal passages too!! My hottest summers prior to 2010: 1993, 1999 and 2002 each had multiple heatwaves of 7+ days. -
Rain is SO close to me...and yet so far.

Interestingly the wind veered out of the east strongly with this last tail end of this heavy cell moving through Queens. -

Few drops here. Looks like the usual collapse over the city before it gets here. Central Nassau looks like some heavy rain. -

I also think they build differently, their buildings don't trap heat like ours do. -
He might only miss a a game or 2.

https://www.nfl.com/news/ravens-te-isaiah-likely-surgery-broken-bone-foot-miss-around-six-weeks Ravens TE Isaiah Likely to undergo surgery on broken bone in foot, miss around six weeks Crap news, but Ravens are deep at TE and I think Andrews is on a mission after that Buffalo game. Lets hope this doesn't become another Training camp injury epidemic.
