35+ constant winds like this are really drying out the underbrush big time again. Had only .20 at my house. As tree leaf out continues in huge strides in the next few weeks, no rain means that some streams and surface ponds will be dry by mid-May in our area as any ground water is literally vacuumed out of the soil horizons from no rain and leaf out. Then you will hear the people talk in the media about how this drought never really went away in late March and still exists when their favorite fishing spot goes dry and private wells have to be re-drilled deeper. I see no substantial Gulf moisture influence with 80 degree temps in the next two weeks in our area for heavy rainfall to be forecasted (over an inch). This spells real trouble for us. THIS VERY PROGRESSIVE WEATHER PATTERN JUST WILL NOT STOP. Cold fronts continue to stall out in the midwest and mid south every 2-3 days, dumping copious amounts of rain with thunderstorms and then for some stupid reason race across PA in 24 hours with continuing dying t - storms, with moisture availability gone in a stable air mass, no convective issues and the precip becomes sparse with light showers/drizzle. But the real big issue are the winds behind these fronts being absolutely crazy like tonight. I have had nearly 50 mph wind gusts. Guess will have to wait for Memorial Day weekend to be rained out, as we usually get a stalled out storm pattern to develop by this time. -

0.95 inches of rain at NWS Mount Holly. Dew points have tanked, from mid to upper 60s this afternoon to now down to 39F. -
Yes indeed. I think we addressed our needs pretty well overall! Ya know even with our playoff struggles, we are still a Top 3 or 4 organization in the NFL--we Ravens fans are very blessed! And of course no one can hit on every pick, but each year we have a solid, calm BPA strategy and stick with it! Ha...I Can't believe everybody and their grandmama knew we wanted Malaki Starks at 27 and he still fell to us anyway, lol I think he is gonna be a STUD. And it was a bold move to take a chance on Mike Green--a player we would ordinarily stay away from because of the off-the-field issue. But the need was great enough that it's worth the risk, imo.

I don't calculate them, I just read them. -
Oh man sorry you’re fighting if this. Reach out to @sauss06 because it almost sounds similar to his fiasco
-
Steiner with just over half inch here. Much more just to my south again like earlier this week. Good for the lawn at least. Will need rain later this week hopefully.

Was just looking at long range and it looks like some areas could be in the mid 20’s for lows around here (even colder in central MI) next Saturday/Sunday/Monday nights. Highs only in the 40’s but have a feeling that May sunshine will cause those temps to be at least in the 50’s. Probably end up being 70 with lows in the 50s lol everything has been hot garbage after day 4/5 as of the late.

Yay I learned how to move a post (had no idea how to do this before!) They're all bad regardless of the amount and influence extends well beyond money into other areas. Individual dark money rich guys have far more influence than the amount of money you mentioned. Schumer alone has received 7.7 million from AIPAC members, which explains some of his stupid, outdated stances and why he's persona non grata here in New York and why he won't even show his face here anymore and why he needs to be primaried. AIPAC has been known to have undue influence on politicians which causes some very stupid and destructive decisions to be made. In addition to direct influence, they have an outsized dark money influence which involves creating superpacs and shell groups beyond AIPAC. It's too much to get into here, but by doing a little detective work, you learn a lot of very alarming things about dark money influence in politics that just should not be allowed to be there (including the exact amounts going to each politician by groups like AIPAC, API, NRA, PHRMA, ACS, as well as dark money shell groups they created, etc.) that the SCOTUS allowed by the very shortsighted Citizens United decision. It's why all this pac/superpac crap needs to be illegal as well as limiting all donations to one flat sum (no more than 1000). Actually even better to only allow for public donations via rigorous campaign finance reform.

0.10 here in 21057. Was able to get my sons doubleheader in.

Next cool air delivery after tomorrow might be near May 3 rd to May 6 th, somewhat related to the SSWE that took place weeks ago.
-
it's officially nowhere close to a drought, we're in dry conditions but no drought. A little east of here it's not even that. It's a drought when we see yellow/brown dried up grass (my unofficial definition)
-
we had a few heavy downpours, what I would expect this time of year.
-
I think we have too much sand under our soil. I always water every few days. But we've had some hard downpours today, it's what I would expect this time of year. All day rain is extremely rare and might result in flooding so this is better.
-
Great draft as usual by the Ravens. They know what they are doing.
-
Dew point dropping quick, down to 39, meanwhile winds gusting to 35 mph.

Crisp, autumn evening out there. Feels like I should be watching hs football. Topped out at 76F, now down to 56F with a DP of 41F. -
.95" over this way, 3.27" for the month now.

Definitely localized up there… the area serviced by lifts on the east side gets a lot of snow water equivalent in the winter. Then it preserves it too. It’s a microclimate zone on the higher elevation east side. Avoids the direct sunlight in the afternoon that the west side gets in the spring. The west side of Mansfield is pretty torched to the summit.
