  1. Past hour
  2. You'd think we lived in the Tropics and that it should be raining every day or every other day
  3. Stein definition is very close to becoming any time it is not physically raining… its Stein.
  4. Immediately after the rain stops it’s back to “Well, seems kinda dry out.”
  5. I agree, it's so stupid. RFK wants to ban them, but he'd lose in court. During the first Trump administration, he signed an EO that said they had to list their prices in ads. It was blocked by a federal judge. They need Congress to act.
  6. I mean I guess it depends on how that is being defined. We're getting precipitation but it just seems like its not enough to be beneficial to the region as a whole. Central New England is above average over the past several weeks while a good chunk of northern and southern New England are below. We are going to have precipitation opportunities upcoming...plenty of fronts moving across the country but our issue seems to be...and this has been the theme the last few years is we are struggling to get widespread synoptic driven rains. It's happened but just not enough. The other challenge with us when it comes to warm season precipitation is it becomes heavily convectively driven versus synoptic, especially late spring through late summer. Some areas will cash in and others will not. When talking about precipitation departures I think it can be very difficult to make a characterization for an entire region because of this (unless of course the departures are uniform).
  7. It's pretty crazy how the wet-bulbing works this time of year. At 12:30 we were ripping 1 mile visibility in snow at MVL. METAR KMVL 271630Z AUTO 34007KT 1SM -SN BR VV014 02/M01 A2990 RMK P0002 Now at 6:30pm it's 48F and the sun is out.
  8. Enjoyed another 1”+ of Stein this weekend.
  9. Man that wind sucks today. My veggies keep getting torn up. Almost regretting planting based on temps and disccounting winds.
  10. Yes, this works for me. Gets rid of some very annoying campaign ads too. I really wish they'd get rid of Big Pharma commercials. I'm aghast they're now allowed to advertise radioactive medicine on TV too. Pluvicto.....which is Lutetium 177 a radioactive isotope of a rare earth element. Side effects: cancer, death, throwing up dead body parts, skin turning red (they forgot to mention glowing in the dark.) Direct to consumer advertising of pharmaceutical drugs really should not be allowed.
  11. 68/30. Will commit crimes for that combo in a few short weeks.
  12. ECM going toasty in the long range another flip
  13. There shouldn't be any money at all from anyone IMO. Candidates should get 90 days at most to campaign and the feds give you set amount of cash.
  14. The day 3 SPC hatched risk over PIT from this afternoon's outlook is the first time a day 3 hatched risk has been over Pittsburgh since 2002. The 1 instance in the 20z outlook is from this afternoon.
  15. I mean that is possible but there are too many timing differences to set that in stone right now. If we get any precipitation, it won't be much but I could see some showers and isolated thunder moving across much of the region Tuesday night. Thursday - Saturday should offer multiple rounds of shower and isolated thunder.
  16. Wind moved a piece of metal furniture twice today, unscientifically over 40mph gusts
  17. Thats going to be wonderful in the summer to keep the humidity low.
  18. Seems like the issue is a lack a forcing. Looks like weak convergence on the dryline and the cold front is way out west. .
  19. And not even a sprinkle for New England from the front
  20. Tuesday but could be interesting across far western NY. Some big timing differences amongst guidance. Regardless though think it will be tough to get much say east of Albany. Would figure everything weakens rapidly given not much instability. A little surprised to see a D3 enhanced though across far western/southwestern NY this early in the game given differences.
  21. Today
  22. Brutal day. 43° and gusting to 35mph Yesterday at this time was a dew of 63° Haven’t seen anything frozen yet, but it feels close.
