With SSTs way above average in the NW Atlantic Ocean, severe weather seems likely this weekend
Without a true marine layer influence this late summer day, we could see a major severe weather outbreak late on Friday night. Shear and instability need to be checked but models show a very potent upper level low traversing the region late Friday afternoon swinging a cold front which will bring below normal temperatures through the area later this weekend into the early weekdays.
