Felt like a proper December day out there today. No need for the B/W filter. We had a couple inches to refresh the surfaces and make for a fun deer tracking morning and a few fun hours on the Mt. .

Beautiful! Moose doing moose things The compaction has begun. Cleared another 3” this morning, temps rose to 33 at the lift and there was periods of freezing rain and snow Low vis day, the powder ended up with a little extra sizzle to it, to much snow to ski anything low angled. Fun week. .
-
Cleared another 5” this morning, skied knee deep in the wind blown woods, pole tips have frozen mud but the skiing was smooth. .
-
Woke up to 4”, home to clear 6”, another 4” since 5pm. Officially looks like December, add in some wind and 0 degree windchill tomorrow and it is complete:) .

Mountains keep squeezing for a few more inches, seems like forever since we had a Dec cycle like this. I have terrible short term weather memory though. The transition to ski season has been an enjoyable one thus far .

Taken a few days to let the events of the eclipse set in. Talking with my wife we were both taken by the stillness of the event. It is cool to see the crowds and hear the joy and excitement in everyone, but I am forever grateful to have had the chance to do it from our home. A home that reminds me daily of the beauty of the world, to have sat there during the eclipse was something I didn’t know would matter so much to me and my family. Very grateful. .

That was overwhelming. What a day! What an experience. I never left my yard:) .
