  1. Good living J! It has been a great week to be a skier in N VT Layers of snow. But, the big drainages are still wet. Easy enough to avoid now. We are down to 9F now. .
  2. The VAST groomer made its initial pass today across the road, thin but that is a promising sign Checking on tracks out back with the dog this evening. Back to snowshoes for a while hopefully .
  3. Cleared another 3” at the house overnight. J was high quality powder skiing. The crew agrees that this winter feels more like it with the upslope deposits. So thanks MRV:) Still snowing when I left Easy to feel thankful today .
  4. Wasn’t expecting to wake up to any, but 3” new over night. Super fluff. Tropical 22F .
  5. Captivating skiing, all sorts of snow types, ice, rocks, sugar, chalk, powder,… Ski the East indeed .
  6. Hopefully everyone gets a chance to get out in the woods up high. It is other worldly right now Starting out balmy, 14F. The slowest falling snow. .
  7. Like MRG, Jay had also switched sides. Bump lines that are usually on one side of a trail were scoured to cement and moved to the opposite side of the trail
  8. Impressive display out there today Climbed to 2500’ with ambitions of skiing. Got stood straight up by a gust and promptly turned around:) That wind was serious. Should be an interesting ski tomorrow. Our valley fields are down to grass and the occasional 6’ drifts. Up to 10F tonight though .
  9. It is an arctic experience out there today! .
  10. $129 experience Switched to skins after this picture, skied Bolton yesterday for a few hours, the snow depth difference was surprising. I expected it, but man the woods are just full of snow right now up here .
  11. No idea. Snowing all day, sideways from every direction. Shoveled the same spots 6 times, but there is no snow on either side of where the wind wants to lay it down:) Mountain was the same, couple gusts tried to knock you down, one tried to take the pack away while de skinning, drifts were soft and the skiing was quality Fun storm, windows continue to shake and the temps are down now to 23F .
  12. Seemed to take until noon for the valley clouds to burn off, another dog run below zero, but here come the blankets in the sky… .
  13. Opened gifts early yesterday with a few hours of powder skiing. 6+ with enough density to not feel the bottom, very enjoyable laps with the mountain crew. 17 here but you can feel the sun, Merry Christmas NNE Wind rippled, sparkle conditions here in the NEK .
  14. Felt like a proper December day out there today. No need for the B/W filter. We had a couple inches to refresh the surfaces and make for a fun deer tracking morning and a few fun hours on the Mt. .
  15. Beautiful! Moose doing moose things The compaction has begun. Cleared another 3” this morning, temps rose to 33 at the lift and there was periods of freezing rain and snow Low vis day, the powder ended up with a little extra sizzle to it, to much snow to ski anything low angled. Fun week. .
