powderfreak
best with deep snow to ski on, seen lots of pics of peeps in shorts tee shirts out skiing, love it Yeah plenty of that out there this afternoon. I got a decent goggle tan today too, haha. Sitting out in the sun at the summit with temps near 50F (felt like 75F after the winter we've had), hard to believe a half foot of snow could start falling in less than 12 hours. powderfreak
Trying to change over in the base area at 1,500ft. 3-4" of paste reported at both the top of the Gondi and top of the Quad.
powderfreak
We changed to snow at about 6:30am and the pasting is in progress. It was cool you could see the bright-banding shrink and close in around the radar site as BTV changed over...

borderwx
All rain so far here, some great snow fog here at 1050' from the melt off. Looking forward to heading higher this morning.
eyewall
Things whitened up pretty quick with all north facing surfaces pasted as well. Probably close to an inch so far depending on which surface you measure.
J.Spin
The precipitation changed over to snow here around 7:40 A.M., and it was like a switch, really no mixing that I saw. It’s coming down steadily so it started to accumulate immediately. There was 0.19” of liquid in the gauge prior to the changeover.

powderfreak
How's the base level? Looks awesome. AWT. Like 1" now of paste that's blowing all over the place. Huge difference between 1,500ft and 2,500ft-4,000ft where it was pretty much all snow. Still raining in town.

Nittany88
48F at the top of Mansfield and 63F in town... what a day! This stuff is like euphoric even for a snow lover like me. Reached 69F yesterday and BTV came alive! Haha Totally different story this morning...
drew13btv
Snow essentially stopped just in time to allow a window for the Cargo guys to come in (FedEx from Portland) and a few commercial flights. But another significant looking band will be here by 11 am it appears. Should be enough to disrupt some air traffic as before LIFR with RVR below minimums (sucks landing runway 33 in low visibility, mountains make it a less precise approach than 15). powderfreak
This photo is from 8:30am but we just got drilled with like 40-70mph winds as that front moved through. Calming down a little now. 6" at 8:30am...

tamarack
Just drizzle and upper 30s here, after 0.10" overnight. A sizable area of precip just to my west, does not appear to be making any eastward progress at all. So far, all this system has done is to spoil the chance to see a full lunar eclipse, 2nd in a row lost to clouds.
powderfreak
The coop should report about an inch Yeah, well one last burst moving in...started snowing pretty good again, easily moderate snow. Much bigger dendrites too. Will probably finish with a 7" total at 3,000ft but I'll check later.

wxeyeNH
31.5F with partial sun is pretty cold for April 4th. Models sucked with this storm. Only got about .05" precip , no change to snow. Few flurries in the air this PM but sunny breaks too. Just looked and see Nashua at 49F. 18F difference!

tamarack
Scattered flakes 1-2 PM, now brightening with increasing wind. "T" fits into the <1" forecast.
